Wintersun, located only 2 kilometres north of the city centre, has long been a favourite of visitors. With large grassy sites for your van or tent, as well as modern cabins for those seeking a little more comfort – we have you covered.

About Alice Springs
Alice Springs lies on the main highway between Adelaide and Darwin and is the perfect holiday destination or a stopover as you venture north or south.
Begin your outback adventure in Alice Springs. Explore historic sites, see the work of local artists, join a cultural event or activity, or try one of the many adventure activities on offer in the desert landscape.
There is plenty to explore in the Red Centre and having the Wintersun Caravan and Cabin Park as your base is the perfect option knowing you can return after a day of adventure to the serenity of the park.
Home to many heritage sites, including the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, National Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame plus the Royal Flying Doctor’s Service, Alice Springs is steeped in Australian history.
You may also like to visit the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, Alice Springs Desert Park, or the Kangaroo Sanctuary to get up and personal with the native wildlife.
Other points of interest include the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, Fred McKay Museum, John Flynn Memorial Church, and Adelaide House.
If adventure is more your style, then Alice Springs has you covered. The 223km Larapinta Trail is easily accessible from our park and is one of Australia’s most spectacular bushwalking and trekking experiences. If 2 wheels are more your thing, there are hundreds of kilometres of epic trails around Alice Springs for mountain biking enthusiasts, within minutes of leaving our park.
Or why not try a hot air balloon ride, helicopter/ plane flight, quad biking or even relax on the back of a ship-of-the-desert on a camel ride? Experiencing the beautiful changing landscape of outback Australia really needs to be seen to be believed.
